Chili Con Carne

This is a healthy chili recipe as it has lots of vegetables in this recipe. Not too spicy but still packed with lots of chili flavor and aroma. The secret is adding the cumin and toasting it with the oil during the sauté process. Hope you like this one!

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs Ground beef
  • 1 can Tomato paste
  • 2 cans Beans
  • 4 Medium tomatoes (chopped)
  • 2 Bell peppers (chopped)
  • 1 cup Carrots (chopped)
  • 1 Small onion (chopped)
  • 2 Garlic cloves (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Cumin
  • 2 tbsp Paprika (or chili powder if you want it spicy)
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp Cooking oil (for sautéing)
  • 1.5 cup Water (for sauce)

Instructions
 

  • Mash the two bananas coarsely with a fork. Set aside.
  • Put butter, oil, and sugar in a bowl. Beat with an electric mixer. Cream the mixture until smooth (about 5 minutes)
  • Add eggs one at a time, allowing to emulsify the mixture before adding the other egg. Mix with the cream mixture until completely incorporated. Set aside.
